I am enchanted to you

So yes. I was once, you. Standing in the middle of two diverge roads, wondering which fucking road to traveled on. I was determined not to set my mind on the rough way to Utopia, instead I was opted to take a new polished tardy road. But in the end, under God's will, I was forced to walked among the rough road and enter the famous "Form Six is very hard" palace.

So, Form Six. It consists of one and a half year, divided into Lower and Upper. There are many subjects available but every Sixth Form student is forced to take General Paper. Maximum subjects allowed is 5 ( advised not to take more than 4, unless you're a fucking genius.) It is divided into two streams, Science and Arts. Okay, first thing first, Art or Science? If you're a Science student, you generally facing problem like this. Facts, in Form Six, there are 80% of students consists of Art students and 20% consists of Science student. So, is hectic and competitive if you're in the Art stream, if you didn't get at least 3.00, you should be a little worried, since you did not have any advantages like Science student have. Moreover, you have to struggle at the beginning if you have no foundation ground in the Art subjects that you took. Believe me, is not pleasant.

Since, I am a Science student, I'll be talking about Science stuff. Okay, if you're a Science student, you have to make your first/second choice, Physics or Biology? Chemistry is a MUST, so, for those who sucks at Chemistry, make sure you brush up your skills, you'll be fucked by physical, organic and inorganic chemistry. Believe me bro, is hell. Back to topic, generally, guys will choose Physics and girls will choose Biology, but it depends your interest. Make sure which subject you're comfortable of and willing to study it. Don't make choices based on your grades received from STPM, it does not work that way. You'll find yourself sink into an endless mind fuck till the end. Physics is more on applying while Biology is more on memorizing. Chemistry is both. For your information, Mathematics is 2x of Additional Mathematics. So yea. Be prepared.

You probably heard this a lot but, I have to repeat for you. Form Six is all about hardwork and study smart. I had a friend that studied like mad ( seriously, you don't wanna know how mad she went) but still, not very good with her results. Advise for you, take a break for awhile. Enjoy life and cheers with your friends but still, remember to catch up with your studies. Is hard to digest at first, but slowly, you'll get around. If you don't understand, be brave and ask questions. Ask lots of questions. If you're quite weak on a certain subject, ask those experts in your class or other classes. Get them to teach you how they study that subject. ( Yes, it works. I did, so can you.) Not to forget, if you're good at the subject, don't be selfish, help your friends to get through the darkness. When you're teaching you're actually revising and get to know more about things you never thought of when that person asking questions. Plus, it adds up for your karma points, right?

Lets not forget about curriculum activities. To ensure you have good points, first, be involved in your society. Don't be the quiet one and just sit there awaiting time to pass. In my school, we fixed the clubs that we can join, so, first time, everyone is racing for their posts in clubs. If you're a in-born leader, do take the lead, you'll be rewarded. To get higher points, each clubs usually organized fun events during your school time. Don't skip any of those fun events. Is FUN FUN FUN!!! plus, you get to know more people.

Conclusion, Form Six ain't that bad but still, not easy. If you make up your mind to here, just hang on tight, bite your lips and you'll get through it. STPM is very useful. You have lots of choices afterwards, not like other diploma options like SAM, A Level, IB and such, you have an advantage of either going local universities or overseas ( Don't be naive, STPM is recognized as the second hardest exam in the world, so is globally accepted. But, you need to take up IELTS or TOEFL) while they can only choosing private or overseas. Matriculation is only for those who really wanted to study in Malaysia only. For those who aiming to get into Singapore, NUS or NTU, make sure you scored your MUET, at least band 4, at least 200 marks.

So, that's my point of view of Form Six. But, bear that in mind, you might not get the courses you wanted if you get into local, unless, unless, you're a 4.0 student. Hope I can clarify things for you.

Specially dedicated to my friend.
