There are 4 seasons currently and soon a 5 season. The cast will be replaced after 2 season, bringing in a new generation. Series 1 and 2 has Tony the manipulative smart guy and has a shallow girlfriend, Michelle. Sidney is Tony's best friend and he is loyal and supportive but he likes Michelle too. Cassie is the weird girl in school which later grow affections to Sidney. Jal is a clarinet player who is the caretaker of the group. Chris is a party animal which has a tragic history. Maxxie is the cutest guy ever in TV history and he's gay. Anwar is a muslim however, he did not practice his religion well. The second generation has Effy, sister of Tony as the main character and she befriends with Pandora, the awkward girl. Cook, Freddie and JJ are best friends with Cook is a violent douchebag, Freddie is a nicotine addict skater and JJ is an autism desperate for attention. Emily and Katie is a twins, with Katie a obnoxious bitch and Emily a lesbian develop relationship with political charged, strong and independent girl Naomi.

Personally, I like how the writers wrote the episodes. I love Maxxie and Anwar friendship. Anwar is a Muslim, hence, he cannot accept homosexual however he did went around doing things that are against his religion which pisses Maxxie. So, in Anwar's birthday, Maxxie insisted Anwar to tell his parents that he is gay. Anwar didn't want to. So, Maxxie wanted outside the club in COLD. I mean WTF?! That is so touching. In the end, Maxxie himself told Anwar's father that he is gay with Anwar's father saying that there are things his God didn't tell him, until HE does, he will treat him as the same. Another feature on is Chris. Chris's personality are the direct impact of their parents shit. Her mum ran away, her father married another girl and his caring brother died. I also like the relationship between Cassie and Sid. Cassie has hallucinate about Sid sending messages to tell her to eat ( she has eating disorder ) and since, Cassie fall in love with her. Sid is in love with Michelle and he didn't give a damn about Cassie. So, Sid promised Cassie a date which in the end, he ran out with Michelle causing Cassie heartbroken and commit suicide.

In series 3 and 4, the only thing seems adorable to me is the relationship between Emily and Naomi. I love what Emily said. "I love girls. No. I love a girl. No. I love her. I love....her." and points toward Naomi and Glasvegas "It's My Own Cheating Heart That Makes Me Cry" playing. Damn!!!
