Gossip Girl
Gossip Girl is an American television teen drama based on the popular novel series of the same name written by Cecily von Ziegesar. Gossip Girl revolves around the lives of socialite young adults growing up on New York's Upper East Side who attend elite academic institutions while dealing with sex, drugs, jealousy, and other teenage issues. Featuring an ensemble cast, the series begins by introducing Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively) and best friend Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester), as well as Blair's on-off boyfriend Nate Archibald (Chace Crawford), Nate's best friend Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick), Dan Humphrey (Penn Badgley), who dated Serena during most of the first season, Jenny Humphrey (Taylor Momsen), who become involved in the lives of the main characters despite being less inclined to merge with the upper-east-side crowd and Vanessa Abrams (Jessica Szohr) who is Dan's best friend. The series is narrated by a seemingly omniscient character, "Gossip Girl" (voiced by Kristen Bell), who runs a blog about her fellow Upper East Siders — consequently stirring the pot and creating potential rivalries in this exclusive and vicious circle of friends.

It has been confirmed that Gossip Girl will have a second season of 24 episodes premiering September 1, 2008. The official title for the first episode of Season 2 is "Summer, Kind of Wonderful", a take off of the John Hughes' film, "Some Kind of Wonderful." 90210

90210 is an upcoming teen drama created by Rob Thomas. It is the fourth series in the Beverly Hills, 90210 continuity. The show is scheduled to premiere in the USA on The CW in September 2, 2008 with a two hour series premiere event.[1] It will also air on Global in Canada on the same day.[2] In Australia Network Ten will start airing the show on September 8. The premiere dates in other parts of the world are not yet announced.

Synopsis
90210 looks at life through the eyes of Annie Wilson (Shenae Grimes) and her brother Dixon (Tristan Wilds), whose first day at West Beverly Hills High School leaves no doubt they're not in Kansas anymore. The Wilson family, including dad Harry (Rob Estes) and mom Debbie (Lori Loughlin), has relocated to Beverly Hills to keep an eye on Harry's mother Tabitha (Jessica Walter), a feisty-but-faded former television star and a charter member of the Betty Ford Clinic. For Annie and Dixon, the awkwardness of being the new kids is made worse by the fact that their dad has taken a job as the high school principal. The school is one big culture shock for Annie, a sweet and friendly girl with a passion for the theater, and Dixon, a star athlete and scholar who was adopted by the Wilson family after they took him in as a foster child. Annie and Dixon have a close sibling relationship, which they'll need to help them cope with all the new cliques and classmates, including Naomi (AnnaLynne McCord), a hot, spoiled, rich girl; Ethan (Dustin Milligan), a popular jock whose abilities rival Dixon's; Navid (Michael Steger), an aspiring reporter who heads up the school's daily newscast; and Silver (Jessica Stroup), a rebel who produces and stars in a YouTube-type video series. Even the faculty seems hip and sophisticated at WBHHS, such as smart and funny teacher Ryan Matthews (Ryan Eggold), beautiful guidance counselor Kelly Taylor (Jennie Garth), and successful theater actress turned high school musical director Brenda Walsh (guest star Shannen Doherty). The Wilson family has just begun to realize how much their lives are about to change.

America's Next Top Model

America's Next Top Model (often shortened to Top Model or abbreviated as ANTM) is a reality television show in which a number of women compete for the title of America's Next Top Model and a chance to start their career in the modeling industry.

The show was created and is hosted by television personality, former supermodel and current talk-show host, Tyra Banks, who also serves as the head judge and executive producer of the show. The first "cycle" premiered in May 2003 and was one of UPN's highest rated shows. The show's seventh cycle was the first of the shows among regular programming on UPN's successor network, The CW, and thus far is the network's highest rated series.[1][2] The show will continue until at least the 2009-10 season.[3] The opening theme is performed by Tyra Banks and is produced by Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins. Banks co-produces the show with Ken Mok and Anthony Dominici.[4] For the 2006-2007 television season, ANTM was the #1 show in average viewers on The CW.[5]

America's Next Top Model, Cycle 11 will be the eleventh cycle of America's Next Top Model and the fifth season to be aired on The CW network. It will premiere on September 3, 2008, with a 2-hour premiere. The winner of this cycle, similar to the past four cycles, will win management and representation by Elite Model Management, a $100,000 contract with CoverGirl cosmetics, and a cover and six-page fashion spread in Seventeen magazine. The promotional catchphrase of the cycle is "Feel The Love".[1]

This cycle features 14 contestants, similar to cycles 3, 4 and 10.

This cycle included a first for the show - having a transgendered contestant named Isis participate and qualify for the final 14. The inclusion has been noted as an "unprecedented opportunity" by Neil Giuliano, president of GLAAD.[2]

Heroes
Heroes is an American science fiction serial drama television series created by Tim Kring, which premiered on NBC on September 25, 2006.[1] The series tells the stories of ordinary individuals who discover that they have superhuman abilities, and also explores how these people adapt to the changes these abilities bring, and their roles in preventing catastrophes and saving humanity. The series emulates the aesthetic style and storytelling of American comic books, using short, multi-episode story arcs that build upon a larger, more encompassing arc. Kring and the writers have an idea of where the series is heading for the first five seasons.[2] The series is produced by Universal Media Studios in association with Tailwind Productions,[3] and it is filmed primarily in Los Angeles, California.[4] The executive producers are Allan Arkush, Dennis Hammer, Greg Beeman and Tim Kring.

Volume Three: Villains

The premiere of the third volume, "Villains", will be preceded by a one-hour clip show of the past two seasons.[12] "Villains" was originally designed to be included within the second season; however, due to the writers' strike, the volume was carried over into season three. The lead-in to "Villains" featured a scene with Sylar, which was shown as the final scene of the "Generations" finale. Throughout Volume Two, Sylar's powers were suppressed by the Shanti virus.[28] After using a cure, procured from Mohinder Suresh, he regained his abilities, delivering the first lines of Volume Three, "Villains": "I'm back."[citation needed]

Tim Kring has claimed that the new volume will bring a cadre of villains to the show, hence the title.[29] On December 5, 2007 at the Jules Verne Film Festival Adventure, Tim Kring showed a video-preview of volume three.[30] According to an interview with Allan Arkush, filming for season three began on May 1, 2008.[31] On May 9, 2008 a season three promo clip was released with hints at possible "inner villains" within the heroes. The promo stated, "In every hero there could be a villain," before plastering the words "hero" and "villain" over the face of every major character. Finally, at the featured Heroes panel, the entire first hour of the first episode of the Villains arc was shown.[32]

In July NBC began airing a teaser for season three featuring Noah Bennet talking to Claire stating, "This was before you were even born, I was finding these people and locking them away so that they couldn't hurt anybody. Now a dozen of them have escaped, and they will kill...and they will terrorize...and they will cause...unimaginable destruction to the world...they're villains, Claire," while a montage of clips play.[33] Zachary Quinto, who plays Sylar, has stated that the Villains story arc will last for thirteen episodes.[34] At the San Diego Comic Con 2008, the booth for Heroes displayed two separate looping tracks of two people in completely white rooms. One strained against his restraints, while the other paced around the room.

In addition, Kring screened the first part of the season opening episode of the "Villains" arc, entitled "The Second Coming", which was shown in its entirety at Comic-Con and received a positive response from fans.[35]

3 hours premiere on sept 22, 08

Survivor

Survivor is a popular reality television game show format produced in many countries throughout the world. In the show, contestants are isolated in the wilderness and compete for cash and other prizes. The show uses a progressive elimination, allowing the contestants to vote off a tribe member, until only one final contestant remains and wins the title of "Sole Survivor". The format for Survivor was created in 1992 by Charlie Parsons, and the first production of it was the Swedish show Expedition: Robinson in 1997.

Survivor: Gabon - Earth's Last Eden is the upcoming seventeenth season of the CBS reality television series Survivor.[2] Applications were due on January 24, 2008. Around March 2008, 800 applicants were selected for an interview by CBS. Out of these 800, about 48 semi-finalists were selected to go to Los Angeles sometime during April 2008. From these semi-finalists, 18 contestants were selected to participate in the show between late June and mid-August 2008.[3]

On April 13, 2008 at the annual National Association of Broadcasters's NAB Show, it was announced that the 17th season would be the first to be shot in high definition, using Sony XDCAMs.[4]

Survivor: Gabon began filming in late June, and will premiere on September 25, 2008 at 8:00 PM ET / 7:00 CT.[5][1] It will mark the second season of the series to be filmed in Africa, after Survivor: Africa was filmed seven years prior in Kenya. Reports from Gabon indicate the show was filmed around the coastal towns of Nyonie and Ekwata in the Wonga-Wongue Presidential Reserve.[6]

Host Jeff Probst mentioned that preproduction of the series was plagued by shipment delays, a crane toppling over and undesirable wild animals encroaching into the production area.[7]

This season, Exile Island has been renamed as simply, 'Exile'. Players sent to Exile will have a choice of receiving a clue to the location of a Hidden Immunity Idol or an "‘instant comfort’ — a nice thing to sleep on, some food, some fruit," according to Probst.
